Chinese Students | Utah Photographer

This summer I decided to be a host family for Chinese students since we were not going anywhere I thought to bring the travel to me.
We were told to teach them a lot of things about our culture like simple things on how to shower and using the curtain to the tap water has hot water that comes out without boiling it but it seemed they already knew it all. Both the girls we had are the only children in their families. It was fun to see how they interacted with my 5 kids…they loved it, holding Beckam was a little awkward. It was fun when we had all the cousins around…in all about 22 kids. I think that was a shocker for them. They LOVE American food…french fries (the absolute favorite) hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon well, any kind of fruit, ice cream, candy LOTS of it and can’t forget the pizza….boy these girls could eat. The first week we did a lot of activities the 2nd week not so much but they actually enjoyed that the most. In China they go to school at 7:30 and get home at 6:00 some even later but then have homework all night. It seemed our girls preferred to rest it up and watch their Ipad’s all night long I figured hey, it’s their vaca too if they want to rest so be it.
Here are some photos I got of them one night. I do have to say it was a little challenging to communicate with them to move but in the end I think they turned out beautifully. Ha!!

This is the session we had.
