Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I know I did.

We had a planned family outing to the Mutual Dell in American Fork canyon but it was closed due a fire near by. It all started on July 3rd at 3:00 pm and burned thru the night and on thru to the night of July 4th…prayers where answered because it started to rain on the night of the 4th…we were sleeping outside, without a tent, I finally went inside around 5:00 am, bad night sleep. It started out as a sprinkle and then it rained enough to put out the fire. So thankful!!!! But we’ve got more fires burning here in beautiful Utah.

Here is house that survived and the stories I hear say it was literally a miracle that its still standing in one piece, untouched.

I got this shot leaving Wal-Mart. I had a better one but I didn’t have a card in the camera…ugh!

This shot was takin’ in Highland about 12 miles away…shot with my 70-200mm. The picture on the right is just zoomed in from the photo on the left. Can’t believe how big the flames are.
