Wall Display Wednesday

Well, here it is the most requested question I get. How do I hang my photos? I thought it best for me start out with this display. Something pretty simple.

This could be done over the sofa or even in your bedroom over the chest of drawers. I’m sure you get the idea. I have found frames at Ikea great looks and awesome prices. Also, you don’t have to frame the photos you could do them as canvas sizes, ready to hang no need for a frame. Or you can print them on Gator board with a 1 1/2″ mount on the back to hang it…photo below. Also no need to frame. I order from iprintcanvas.com -to add the mount on the back I think you have to request it on the order form.

Or you can frame them like this.

I hope this can give some ideas and inspire you to PRINT those photos. Cuz they are better on the walls not on the computer. HA!

Its a Happy Valentines Day

Oh, how I feel so GOOD today. A little stuffy but I can get out of bed now. Yep, I’ve been sick this last weekend and it was not fun. Now I’m feelin’ good on this Beautiful LOVE day!!!! I hope everyone else has a wonderful day to.

Just have to share a shot of my little cupid. He’s got me smitten.

Just wanted to share with you how I edited this photo.
Before this is SOOC (straight out of the camera)

I didn’t like the line from the table and the wall so I took that out with Content Aware…its on CS5 and its sooooooo COOL! so easy! then I added a soft light layer, used an action called pro retouch to soften his skin (from Totally Rad Actions) then I sharpened the photo (with MCP actions High Def Sharpen). I wanted to add a little more umph to photo so I put on a texture. This particular texture makes it darker so I bumped up the curves to get the finished effect. But here you see what this texture does when I added it on the photo. This texture has a softlight layer onto the texture. I hope that makes sense for those out that are learning a little with photo shop.

Week 15 of 52 Jar

This weeks post is a before and after because editing can make or break the photo and its fun to see how it works.

I took this photo at the antique store. I wanted to put them in the shape of a heart but didn’t have much time.

This edit was done in photo shop. I used 3 soft light layers and then added a multiply layer at 50% opacity and then took out the black lid on the top middle of the photo. It was an eye soar and whalla this is what I like for an edit.

Here is a go at a Jar of Hearts I shot today.
